Coco and Jag

So far, introductions haven't gone as smoothly as we would like. Coco is being very territorial and poor Jag is being bullied a bit by the older, albeit smaller Coco. We're trying to give them each their own time out of their cages and introduce them to each other slowly. So far things haven't progressed as well as they could and it seems it may take longer than we would have liked for Coco to accept his new companion. With any luck they'll be the best of friends before long and I'll be able to upload some pictures of the two of them playing happily together. For now, though this is the best I can do.

A New Member of the Family

We brought home a new family member the other day ... a new 10 month old bunny. His name is Jag (short for Jaguar) and we adopted him from Lollypop Farm in Fairport. He's an all black rex rabbit, and will hopefully be a faithful companion to our other rabbit, a 1 year and 4 month old dutch/dutch rabbit named Coco.

A wrong turn on the way home by yours truly landed us in a bit a of a traffic jam at the border in Niagra Falls, Ontario, Canada. We made the best of it though and got some nice pictures of the skyline of the city and the falls themselves. We thought about stopping to see the sights and visits the falls and the attractions around the area, but we just wanted to get home after a long hot day of driving.

Liz and I watched the sunrise on our way through the mostly straight and incredibly monotonous interstate highways of the great state of Michigan.

The drive home was long but fun. We left Michigan before the sun came up and there wasn't much traffic all the way through Michigan and Canada. Liz and I drove while her brother Sean and his wife Christine slept through most of the morning.

The reunion took place at a park on White Lake in Montague.

We stayed in a trailer that Liz's cousin was kind enough to let us use while we were there. It was comfortable enough and saved us the expense of renting a hotel room while we were there. Oh yeah, we had the bigger trailer in the back in this picture.

Michigan

Liz took pictures on the way to Michigan as a 9 hour drive across Canada and northern Michigan can get just a bit boring.

Road Trip

So its been a while since I've posted anything here, nothing to exciting has happened since the last time I did anything with this page. One nice break, and the only real vacation I'll take this summer, was a road trip with Liz for a family reunion in Michigan. We visited with her mom's side of the family and had a nice picnic in the park in Montague, Michigan. We only stayed a couple days and it was about a 9 hour drive each way, but the drive was fun and the area where we stayed was beautiful.
